CRMCD-1032 Ricordi 1994

This CD presents five pieces by the Italian composer Pietro Borradori (1965):

  • Dialectical Landscapes (1991) for cello and piano, performed by Bryndís Halla Gylfadóttir (cello) and Snorri Sigfús Birgisson, (piano)
  • Opus Alexandrinum (1992) for cello and chamber orchestra, performed by Bryndís Halla and the CAPUT-ensemble, conducted by Guðmundur Óli Gunnarsson
  • Cantata puer Aeternus for two chours and chember group
  • Trame Perdute for two pianos
  • Opus Incertum for "ensemble".

Other performers on the CD include Ensemble L'Itinéaire and pianists Kumi Uchimoto and Marco Pedrazzini.

Pietro Borradori worked with the CAPUT-ensemble during rehearsals and recordings which took place in Iceland in December 1993
