Musik.is was opened in January 1995 – then titled The Icelandi Music Page. Iceland could make available on the web virtually complete information about the musical culture. Not many other nations could realistically hope to accomplish this. Musik.is aims at presenting all pages and webs that have to do with Icelandic music. The site is currently the oldest and most exhaustive resource on Icelandic music that is accessible on the Internet.
